Parent and Guardian Involvement/Parent Responsibilities
1. Respect the confidentiality of the identified students and their families, we do not discriminate between community children and identified children and refer to all students a “program participants” and anticipate parents will do likewise.
2. Call us regarding absences. We can cancel therapies, reorganize staffing, etc. if we know ahead of time.
3. BE PROMPT TO PICK UP AND DROP OFF. This year we anticipate daily morning/between class/after school meetings to coordinate individual programming needs for several of our students. We simply will not have time to supervise students outside of school hours and we want to be sure to clear the circle at EES before the big school buses and parent cars arrive.
4. Please acquire from the library or bookstore our current storybook and read it with your child. We read at least 10 readily available books each year.
5. Feel free to participate once we have settled in. We love to have parents visit so they can observe their child’s growth and development, meet and play with their child’s peers. Call ahead so parent volunteers don’t overlap.

This is a lot to take in but it will soon become routine to us all. We look forward to working with your child and with you - this is going to be a wonderful year!
